I teach all levels of Drawing (I-IV), Painting (I-IV), Printmaking (I-II) and AP Drawing plus AP 2D Design.
These classes are important first of all, because they give those students that are talented and interested in the visual arts a place to feel they belong. Also Drawing and painting give kids the foundations of drawing skills and color theory that apply to all of the other visual art forms. Also, printmaking gives kids a glimpse into the commercial word and what it could be like to be a professional artist. Plus kids learn so many problem solving skills!
Students can expect to take away a feeling of accomplishment by bringing home artwork they have created in these classes!
Art Students also learn how to “build” upon their processing skills. Next time something breaks around the house, these kids might be able to fix it!

Green Mountain was the first and only school where I have taught. I have been here for 17 years, half way through the 18th year! I really love green Mountain and it community! I am a native of Colorado as well. My husband and I enjoy four wheeling and traveling together and take our dog with us when we can. I also enjoy producing my own artwork whenever I get a chance!
