Mr. Gleason directs four choirs and teaches a beginning guitar class.
Women’s Choir and Men’s Choir – These are non-audition choirs and open to anyone at GMHS. These classes focus on the fundamentals of music and singing with a healthy, versatile vocal technique. Students will study a variety of musical styles and literature
Images and Shadows – These are auditioned choirs and only open to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. These classes focus on fundamentals of music and singing with a healthy, versatile vocal technique. Students study a variety of musical styles and literature while being held to a high standard of musicality, accurateness, and performance.
Guitar – This class is for beginning guitar students. These students learn the basic fundamentals of music and guitar playing while becoming familiar with classical, rock, blues, and jazz styles.

David Gleason is the Choral Director at Green Mountain High School in Lakewood, CO. This is his 25th year teaching in the public schools and 17th in Jefferson County. David received his Undergraduate Degree in Music Education from Colorado State University and Masters of Music Degree in Choral Conducting from University of Northern Colorado. He also directs choirs at Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church and sings with various choirs in the Denver/Boulder area. Mr. Gleason loves living in Colorado and being outdoors! During July of 2016, he completed a thru-hike of the 486 mile Colorado Trail, hiking from Denver to Durango. It was an amazing experience!! Mr. Gleason is the Immediate Past Chair of the Colorado All-State Choir and strongly encourages all Juniors and Seniors to audition!! He is proud to carry on the tradition of choral excellence at GMHS and is looking forward to another fantastic year.
