I will be teaching two different subjects of science this year!!! The first is Biology 🙂 In this class we will be learning about the wonderful world of Life Science. This field of science teaches us about the world around us, and gives people insight on how things came to be. It is so fascinating and I am so excited to have wonderful science discussions with you. Secondly, I will also be teaching Earth Science. In this class we will be learning about the geological world that surrounds us and get a better idea of how the earth was formed over billions of years. 4.543 billion years to be exact!!!! The earth is an incredible place and I can’t wait to explore all of the scientific evidence that has helped us understand it.
I am a Colorado native and I was born and raised in Steamboat Springs, CO. While I was in High School, I had some amazing science teachers that helped me develop my passion for teaching. After HS I went to CU-Denver and I got my bachelors degree in Biology. I quickly realized that I wanted to use my degree to become a science teacher and I got my license and Masters in Teaching at CU-Denver. During this time I worked closely with mentors in the NOYCE scholarship group that helped me develop my teaching. Honestly, I just love to learn and teaching helps me learn everyday.
